The Retrofit Awards, brought to you by Architects’ Journal, celebrates ‘design expertise behind the vital renewal and repurposing of existing buildings, setting a precedent for ways to slash the industry’s carbon footprint in the process.

The Africa Centre, designed by Tola Ojuolape and Freehause Architects has been shortlisted within the Health and Community category, which includes hospitals, surgeries, clinics and Maggie’s centres as well as buildings designed for community use or wellbeing.
